Have you ever had trouble getting your kids to be interested in the environment? Well I have a few easy tips to help them get interested and get off their electronics! Take them on a nature hike, and they will see how if anything in the environment is harmed everything this is connected or related to can also be harmed. There are many of forms of life in the environment included human, plant, animal, bugs, and many more forms! http://lifeasmama.com
You can also download some phone apps that have to do with identifying plants, animals or trees if they are not connecting as well as you would like them to. You can try setting a good example by shutting off appliances when you’re not using them or turning off the light when you leave a room. You could use this to help the environment by using both sides to a sheet of paper, leaving plants and rocks and stuff in nature to help the animals live and to keep nature beautiful. You could also help the environment by not littering and put your trash in the garbage when done with it. Some examples of that are when you use a plastic water bottle keep it and reuse it instead of throwing it away or recycle plastic and cardboard things instead of throwing them away. https://www.theguardian.com
Whenever they are old enough to ride a bike you could teach them and go on more bike rides. This will benefit the environment because if you take your bike instead of your car you will not have all of the nasty pollution from the exhaust. You will also benefit from this because you are saving money from gas and you could be healthier. You can also be happier from riding you bike instead and it’s very good exercise. Another way to get your kids more excited about the environment is to take them on a blindfold walk outside and have them use their sense of touch and smell rather than sight.
You can also go out in the rain and have fun like that. I guess if you really wanted to you can create some kind of contraption that collects rain, and boil the water if it’s dirty. You could find some kind of hill or dike and race to the top seeing who can get their first or you can go camping. You can play bug or leaf bingo with what you find in the forest or outside. A really fun game is nature I-Spy.
